Water color on Paper - by Chow Chin Chuan ( Bicycle Man )

Chow Chin Chuan

“I remember riding the bicycle all the time during my younger days in Klang, my hometown. It was very much a part of my childhood & I believe each person will have a pleasant memory involving a bicycle, and I hope through my paintings they would be able recall bittersweet memories,” he said.

VISUALISING a simple yet meaningful concept, local artist Chow Chin Chuan chose to centre his theme on a specific icon — the bicycle. The simple mode of transport was memorable to Chow in many ways, as it played a huge part in his childhood.
He, decided to build his work around it and this humble object has helped spur him to great lengths.
Chow said there was a sentimental value to the bicycle as it was the last possession left behind by his late father.

Chow has painted over a hundred paintings and participated in numerous exhibitions, including seven solo art exhibitions to date.
